-PROJECT MANAGEMENT -- Managing project schedules and resources.  Includes scope management, process management and on-time delivery meeting or exceeding business expectations.

 

-REQUIREMENTS GATHERING --Interacts with custimers and business process specialists to define requirements.  Ability to document and validate that requirements meet business needs.

 

-DESIGN -- Experience with Dimensional Modeling and Design:  Ability to workk with technical staff to translate requirements into an appropriate data warehouse design

 

-DATA ARCHITECTURE -- Ability to analyze and understand the business from both data and process perspectives.  Build logical dimensional models.

 

QUALITY -- Ensure that the solution is completely tested, debugged and delivers the 'one version of the truth'.

 

To accomplish this, you will need to:

 

Function as a project lead, prifice direction, set deadlines and meet deliverable dates with limited supervision.

 

Use the MKS/EBR milestone methodology to managing milestones and project documentation

 

Understand BI architecture and concepts including:  dimensional and logical modeling and capabilities of BI tools including ETL process design and multi-dimensional databases.  Some experience with BI tools such as business objects, cognos and targit etc.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

bachelors degreee (preferably in CS or MIS)

 

experience in various BI projects with exposure to a variety of BI and ETL tools such as Cognos, Business Objects etc.

 

excellent oral and written communications skills

 

ability to effectively exercise negotiation and communication skills with internal and external customers.
