ettain group has an immediate need for a Infrastructure Architect. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Converts the requirements into architecture and design that will become the blueprint for the solution being created.
2. Ensure successful integration of all aspects of system solution.
3. Provide oversight and guidance of new product initiatives ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
4. Research patterns that can be used to create portions of the solution.
5. Provide guidance to the development leads as development tasks are identified.
6. Responsible for technical documentation of solution architecture.
7. Participate in the presentation and evaluation of proposed solutions to IT management and other development teams.
8. Assist with resolving design issues and challenges.
9. Responsible for system testing, load testing, and system performance evaluation.
10. Establishes metrics and guidelines to measure and monitor systems.
11. Responsible for refactoring existing designs and solutions.
12. Provides progress reports for assigned design tasks to project lead.
13. Performs related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements
1. Knowledge of industry standard design patterns (TOGAF, MSF, etc.).
2. Experience with UML, use cases, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, ERD, server architecture preferred.
3. 4+ years architecture experience.
4. 4+ years experience with industry standard architecture tools.
5. 7+ years of IT Hardware, Networks, Topology Maintenance
