ettain group has 2 immediate openings for Information Architects in Herndon, VA. These will be a 6 month contract to hire roles for a provider of online e-commerce solutions. Join a team of 4 other Information Architects to redesign a customer service web portal. 

Seeking creative and energetic individuals who understand UI/UX principles and best practices, and how to design online products and services with a customer-centric focus. Experience creating interaction designs, process flows, and user interface specifications is a must. If you have a passion for UI design and usability, we offer the opportunity to work in a collaborative User Experience team designing a large ecommerce website that is used by millions of online customers.

Responsibilities:

Understand customer needs and design online user experiences, ensuring ease of navigation and simplicity of design.

Organize diverse business requirements and architect the flow of information into an intuitive, coherent, easy-to-navigate website.

Document user interface designs and user interactions with process flows, wire frames, and screen specifications using Visio 

Identify opportunities to improve the usability of customer interactions and conversions

Work with designers and programmers to achieve strong visual and technological solutions without sacrificing usability.

Articulate problems and solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of professional experience in human factors, user interaction design, and information architecture (This is not a graphic design/visual design position.)

Bachelors degree in a related field 

Experience with standard design and documentation tools (Adobe, Visio, etc.)

Strong understanding of customer experience and customer needs

Prefer experience working on transactional Web sites or software applications
