ettain group has an immediate opening for a 6 month contract to hire PHP Developer in Washington, DC for. You will supplement a group of 5 other programmers who are redesigning a major website in the nonprofit – communication space. This is a very casual and flexible work environment and we have placed a number of people there over the years who have really enjoyed it!

Responsibilities:

Develop web pages in PHP5 using a Java-based proprietary CMS

Write SQL statements to store data and build tables that bring content to the website

Develop in a Java/Struts environment with a MySQL database

Write JavaScript using jQuery framework

Work in a 2 week scrum development sprint

Required Skills:

Object Oriented Programming experience in PHP5

Experience integrating with a CMS

Background in a development environment that includes subversion tools

Strong SQL skills (stored procedures, SQL statements in MySQL

Strong XML skills

Other must have knowledge – HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX

jQUery experience highly desired
