ettain group, Charlotte Authority Team Up for New Web Strategy

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 7, 2002) - The websites for the Charlotte Coliseum, Ovens Auditorium and Cricket Arena will be overhauled in the coming months as ettain group and the Charlotte Authority deploy a new online strategy. The Charlotte Authority, who operates all three venues, as well as the Convention Center, engaged ettain group to devise a strategy for not only improving their various online presences, but integrating their websites into their overall business systems as well. Leveraging the ettain group Strategic Planning (eSP) process, an effective strategy emerged and, as a result, ettain group was awarded the full website redesign and rebuild project.

"We are eagerly awaiting the completion of our sites to increase the Charlotte Authority's online presence and to create a more user-friendly experience."

About the Charlotte Authority - The Authority was established to operate Ovens Auditorium, Cricket Arena, the Charlotte Coliseum and the Charlotte Convention Center in a proper, efficient, economical and business-like manner and to effectively serve the public needs for which such facilities were established at the least cost and expense to the City of Charlotte. Annually, these four facilities attract approximately 2.8 million people for sporting events, top-drawer entertainment and important meetings and conferences.

The Authority is composed of nine (9) members with (5) members appointed by the City Council, two (2) members appointed by the Mayor, one (1) member appointed by the small outlying towns and approved by the City Council and one (1) member appointed by the Mayor from the Hospitality industry. Each member serves a term of three (3) years. The Authority members receive no compensation.
